How did you learn about UP and what made you decide to join the team?
I heard about UP via Lawrence Masle and Donya Ekstrand, old colleagues during Ericsson times. It sounds like a fun agency and I agree with its values. I’m always up for trying new experiences.
Where are you located? Have you always been here, or is this a new place for you?
I am located in Switzerland. And I have lived in Mexico, US, Norway, Sweden, France, and Switzerland.
Tell us a little bit about the types of things you have worked on before UP. What do you most look forward to each day?
I have worked from small advertising agencies to the corporate world of Ericsson, CSX, and Sun Power, to being an entrepreneur and a Creative Art Coach and Artist. I have worked as a graphic designer, web designer, marketing communications, and art director. At a two-women start-up, I held all the hats, that went along with the job.
I wake up every morning with a positive intention and love the fact that I have many projects going on where I can be creative, and have free time to work on my art.
What is your area of focus at UP, and what are you most looking forward to doing at UP? What is your favorite part of what you do?
I have a wealth of experience with art direction/graphic design from branding campaigns to logo development, web design, illustrations and PowerPoint presentations. I really look forward to collaborating with various UP teams, and I believe that “the best-kept secret to creativity is collaboration.”
The key to success for me and my client engagements is understanding the correct context in order to create results with the best impact.
I love my work as I’m passionate about creativity. I get to have fun and play with concepts and ideas, so it never feels like work.
If you could have lunch with anyone (living or deceased), who would it be and why?
Banksy, I love what he stands for not only satirical artwork but the fact that he stands up for what he believes. Above all his audaciousness.
What else would you like UP members to know about you?
I’m multi-cultural. I have a passion for art, nature, and traveling. I am always curious and a lifelong learner.
I live in Switzerland, am married to a Swede, and have 2 kids in college. I love the mountains, skiing and hiking. Having a nice meal with nice wine, good music and good conversations with friends is right up my alley.
