Germfree wanted to clean up their branding

From humble beginnings as a successful family business, Germfree are on a journey to become a significant enterprise. With plans to accelerate their growth in 2023, they were on the hunt for a full-service, international agency to support with their brand refresh and website development. Their new agency partner would need extensive experience in life science, as well as proven digital expertise.

So fresh and so clean!

During our brand and competitor audit, we identified blue branding saturates the market. Keen to stand out from the crowd, we introduced pink and purple to their brand colours. We made sure to complement the blues and greens that felt relevant to their company.

As well as refreshing their colour palette, we also introduced shapes and icons. We integrated the diamond from their logo to frame copy, icons and imagery. We formalised their brand guidelines ensuring their marketing collateral is more coherent, consistent and cohesive.

A scalable website to grow with them

Having a website CMS that’s secure and simple to use is crucial to the success of the company’s digital marketing. Germfree’s previous CMS was convoluted and the team found it hard to use.

We determined that Wordpress would be the most suitable CMS. We opted to use WPBakery page builder for easy edits that lock styles, to minimise risk of creative depreciation. Plus seemingly limitless plugins, features and customisations, their future growth won’t be restricted.

With all web projects, we discussed what Germfree wanted to be famous for. We then audited their SEO keyword rankings, and domain reputation. They wanted their application and industry solutions to be front and centre, rather than relying on a product-led approach.

The best way to showcase their experience, and position themselves as world-class experts, our UX team redesigned their navigation and menu structure. An easy-to-use mega menu was implemented, and a website structure that lends itself to grow and evolve with their goals.

Additionally, we worked together on their tone of voice. Creating a balance of scientific and experience, while making their content easy to digest was crucial.

Since launching the new website, Germfree have seen some major uplifts in almost every aspect of their website performance:
