How do you connect with purchasing scientists? That's a question many marketers in the life science industry struggle to understand. To explore the question further, UP is hosting a free 90-minute online messaging and writing workshop on June 29, 2022, led by the heads of UP FOR LIFE alongside a seasoned writing workshop facilitator.

The Art of Marketing Science: Writing to Connect with Purchasing Scientists
Wednesday, 29 June 2022
Online: 9.30-11.00 EST |14.30-16.00 BST | 15.30-17.00 CET

Following in the footsteps of UP FOR REAL’s successful lunchtime workshop – The Art of Attraction – which UP ran in March, UP FOR LIFE is holding a 90-minute online workshop on June 29th. It’s titled The Art of Marketing Science: Writing to Connect with Purchasing Scientists.

Connecting with your audience, being relevant and empathetic, and exuding confidence are crucial if your brand and communications are to pave the way to creating a fruitful and long-lasting relationship with scientists.

What are the key factors for success in appealing to this audience? Join the UP presenters and find out.

Former and current heads of UP FOR LIFE, Dr. Robert England and Dr. Matt Wilkinson will lead the workshop, alongside Senior Writer Stuart Delves, a seasoned creative-writing-for-business workshop facilitator.

The central focus of the workshop will be looking at what grabs the attention of and hooks the scientist holding the purse strings. In addition to a presentation and discussion, the workshop will include a hands-on exercise using a sample case study. Participants will work in teams in breakout rooms and be joined by key members from UP FOR LIFE, who are both science writers and account directors. There will also be time for discussion and Q&A.

The workshop promises to be insightful, good humored and fun. Attendees are asked to bring their own refreshments, which might well differ in nature from time zone to time zone. In the UK (14.30-16.00) it could either be a post-prandial coffee or an early cuppa. In Central Europe (15.30-17.00) it’ll be approaching Happy Hour, so why not bring a mocktail? In the USA (9.30-11.00 EST), it’ll be prime coffee time (or non-caffeine alternatives).

Word is out that places are filling fast, so if you’re interested, book your free spot now.
