We are delighted to have achieved the prestigious GOLD rating from EcoVadis, the globally recognised sustainability assessment platform. This accolade is yet more recognition for our team’s best practice sustainability commitments.
UP’s unique operating model and our unwavering commitment to sustainable, transparent and ethical business practices have been embedded in our DNA since our inception in 2011.
Only the top 5% of companies (95+ percentile) that undertake the rigorous EcoVadis assessment secure Gold.
We’ve been ‘going for Gold’ since our 2021 Silver rating. In the past four years, we’ve:
- Established a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team from across the agency, including Account Directors, Finance, Procurement, our Head of Humans and our talented interns.
- Continually refined our sustainability and ethical policies.
- Implemented a greener supply chain and championed sustainable procurement.
- Upskilled team members on sustainability (including championing our annual CSR surveys and quarterly newsletters highlighting the agency’s latest initiatives).
As part of UP’s wider environmental commitments, we’ve worked with a variety of sustainability-focused clients, including charities and Not-for-Profits (Ecocide Law Alliance, for example).
We’ve also partnered with Evertreen, an environmental conservation organisation, helping us to further minimise our carbon footprint through reforestation.
All of our EcoVadis scores significantly increased - especially our Ethics score. This is now 91/100 - compared to an industry average of 49.7/100*.

Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar agencies, UP was built on a radically different model — a decentralised, remote-first approach that eliminates the need for large physical office spaces, daily commuting and business travel-heavy operations.
