Airport City Stockholm, the joint venture between Swedavia, Arlandastad Holding and Sigtuna Kommun, has launched its new brand platform and identity. Over the past 12 months, the organization has been working closely with UP THERE, EVERYWHERE to develop a new strategy and identity which was launched recently at Business Arena Stockholm.
It is predicted the entire development site, including Stockhom-Arlanda Airport, will eventually employ up to 50,000 people and consist of logistics, retail and commercial areas. Airport cities around the world have signaled a new paradigm shift in the global marketplace and airport cities such as the one at Schiphol in The Netherlands and Hong Kong have had significant economic impacts. The project for UP* encompassed background market research, brand strategy and identity development as well as marketing communications work including digital and social media.

Julian Stubbs has been involved in the branding of other key destinations such as Stockholm, The Capital of Scandinavia, Stockholm Arlanda Airport itself as well as Destination Sigtuna. The UP* agency concept is also a completely new approach and that appealed to us as well over more traditional agencies’.
