UP There Everywhere may be a company founded on the idea of cloud computing and remote teams working collaboratively, but that doesn’t mean the members don’t appreciate the value of meeting face-to-face occasionally. UP held its third in-person member meeting since launching the company in March, this time on the East Coast of the USA in Princeton, NJ. Six UP members, including three new members and a new partner company, attended the meeting held July 28, 2011, at the lovely and historic Nassau Inn on Palmer Square in Princeton, NJ.New members

The group welcomed new member Rena Amer, Marketing Consultant, of Princeton, N.J. Rena, originally from Jordan, and fluent in Arabic, Spanish and English, has a background in broadcast journalism and more than 10 years of experience in brand planning for consumer and consumable brands.

Another member introduced at the meeting was graphic designer Philip Raw of Princeton, N.J., who specializes in high-end graphic production for print.

UP also made a special introduction at the meeting to the group’s second partner company, Vaya Mobile (www.vayamobile.com) of Washington, D.C. Team members met Peter Barclay, Managing Director of Vaya, who brings expertise in mobile applications, including iPhone and IPad apps as well as optimized mobile web browsing, to the group. Vaya Mobile also offers a proprietary system of secure and customized texting platforms for mobile devices and mobile marketing solutions that meet CTIA standards.

“UP is excited to continue expanding in the USA, as well as globally, and looks forward to welcoming more marketing communications experts to the group,” said founding partner Eric Dowell at the meeting. “As a client-centric, new age, international members-only community of partners working in the digital, creative, brand and marketing area, our goal is to create well-rounded and diverse work teams with varied international backgrounds who can bring high levels of skill and expertise together to service client’s needs.”

Dowell said the Northeast group will plan additional future in-person meetings, as well as online and Skype conferences for training, idea exchange, lead building, as well as running day-to-day business.
