'Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.' Dolly Parton

UP was created with a vision of achieving a more balanced life. A balance between work, and life and actually seeing work as an important part of life, and not just something to be endured for however many hours a day you had to do it. Most people who join UP are also incredibly ambitious. Ambitious to succeed in being as good as they can be. That's something we love to be a part of enabling.

I'm lucky enough to love what I do, and I want others to get that same feeling. It's incredibly satisfying as I feel I'm enjoying my life in a much more holistic way. The biggest advantage of working within the UP community is that it gives me far greater flexibility in being able to choose when and where I want to work. This doesn't make if easy, but provided I deliver on my work and client deadlines, there is a far greater degree of flexibility available. No other way of working could offer me that. It means I get to do the things I want to do, when I want. This helps me feel much more in balance.

This was one of the major themes we wanted to incorporate into the first Global Member Meet UP in Palma, Mallorca, attended by over sixty people.

To help us in this we're fortunate to have an incredible partnership with FORM Holistic, a Swedish professional coaching organisation run by Niki and Anna Tramontana. They joined us in Mallorca and organised our daily workout sessions on the beach, as well as running an holistic workshop, where we took time to look at what sort of balance we were really achieving in our lives. Take a look at the FORM Holistic site at the link below to see more on this approach.

Whilst in Palma Niki and Anna also recorded the following podcast, in English, on the subject. Hope you enjoy it.
