Written by UP Blog Staff | February 21, 2023

Cordell Burke, the former Tequila London and OgilvyOne creative chief, has been promoted to Global Executive Creative Director (EMEA) at agency UP THERE, EVERYWHERE.

Burke joined UP in November 2018 as Creative Managing Partner to help establish the UK office alongside Managing Director Kate Adams and Client Managing Partner Christos Karakanna. During his period at UP, he’s led creative teams that produce on and offline campaigns for several of UP’s Life Sciences, financial services and B2B clients.

Prior to that, Burke was Executive Creative Director at Bigdog agency and Tequila London. He also spent over 12 years at OgilvyOne where he became a Management Partner and ECD, leading more than 60 on and offline creatives and eventually held the title of Group Creative Partner on the Ogilvy Group UK Board. Clients he has worked with during that period include American Express, IBM, BT, Pret a Manger, Mazda, Aviva and Rightmove.

Cordell has always been a tireless member of the wider creative industries, too, whether that’s through championing diversity initiatives, mentoring at countless creative events, tutoring at professional courses or being a Non-Executive Board Director on industry bodies like the DMA UK (Data & Marketing Association) helping to raise the profile of their data-driven marketing expertise and training across the industry from the classroom to the boardroom.

Founded in 2011 by Chairman Julian Stubbs and Chief Creative Officer Eric Dowell, UP THERE, EVERYWHERE is ‘The Global Cloud Based Agency’ modelled to service clients with the power of a global team of specialist senior-level talent spanning strategy, creative and account management.

UP is a fully integrated agency with over 150 people across 14 countries, and its global clients include Tecan, Galderma, Jenoptik, and Schindler lifts. The agency focuses on developing brands and communications for clients with sophisticated goods, services, messages, markets and ideas – termed ‘high involvement’.

Burke said: “This is obviously a huge and exciting opportunity. I’m looking forward to partnering with Eric to help boost the quality of our creative work worldwide”.

Stubbs said: “Cordell brings an incredible breadth of creative experience to our global leadership team and will ensure we develop the right creative teams to work on our increasing portfolio of global accounts”.
