What’s different about UP*?

Perhaps the two most obvious differences between *UP There, Everywhere and other traditional agencies is that we do not have offices and we do not have formal employees. With the world going through huge economic and social transformations, we believe that it is time to examine both of these conventional working practices. Aided by the digital tools we now have available, it is time for a new approach and a new way of working. It’s our mission to change the way the world works, and that means making our focus about both the People and the Work and not our own corporate infrastructure.

We do not have employees, but we do have a large resource in people, a rich international mix of professionals with a truly global outlook. Based in strategic locations around the world, our people drive our client’s projects. Each client’s core team is hand-selected to best match that client’s needs and location.

While we don’t have expensive corporate headquarters, we do have creative spaces in major locations, where we meet clients for presentations, workshops and creative sessions as required.

Another major difference with *UP There, Everywhere and traditional agencies is you won’t find people with titles such as Executive Creative Director. All of our members work hands-on, day-to-day on their client’s business. Because of the way we operate, we know our productivity is enhanced and our clients enjoy the fruits of our “work-from-everywhere” approach.

Many agencies claim to be international, but few, if any, manage to truly work in an integrated fashion across global markets. They are always looking after their own domestic interests first. But because of our unique operational structure, and our group share-holding approach, we work across the globe, focused on delivering the best solution for our clients, wherever they might be based.

What’s the same about UP*?
Pretty much the rest. We establish dedicated core teams who work on each client’s business day-to-day. This team is always composed of experienced, senior-level members who do the hands-on work for the client’s projects. Each team is assembled to include of the best mix of people to suit each client’s specific needs. Typically, this will be a team leader, senior creatives and specialists as required. Team members can be based locally, close to the client, as well as internationally as the client’s marketing activities demand. It’s this connected-community that drives the client’s business.

As for budgets, well that’s a matter we like to be very UP-front about. We work on a fixed-price basis, whether on projects or consulting, and always keep our clients in the loop about how budgets are being allocated and costs are being incurred.
